I just read this after finding it on Google:

"Nokia Makes Qt Port to Maemo 5 and N900 Official"
Saturday, September 11, 2010 - Ehud Rattner

Here is the link:

Do not know how true this is.

All the talk about support in Maemo is somewhat laughable, since Maemo is being phased out.

Maybe it means that the n900 will be able to d/l and install apps created for meego since it has qt.

the "news" is old

The port itself will be based on Qt's upcoming version 4.6 and is scheduled for final release during the first three months of 2010.
The press release it gets its data from is from Oct '09

We integrated this in PR1.2
Qt4.7 was put into -devel at that time too
and since then we have had many modifications

I had thought that Qt was already 'officially' supported for Maemo 5. Isn't it what PR1.2 gave us?

From the link, "The port itself will be based on Qt's upcoming version 4.6 and is scheduled for final release during the first three months of 2010"

Pretty sure the first three months of 2010 are already over.
