hey, im getting an error message when trying to update my n900s psfreedom and ps3 trophy viewer,,,,,, i get the following message in a yellow box

"non-stock kernel detected, please reinstall kernel, kernel modules and kernel-flasher using apt-get in terminal"

any help is greatly appreciated! and yes i downloaded the power kernel

seriously...... nobody knows? i cant even de-install the power kernel, says i need the stock kernal and i get an error..... wtf happened.....

Maybe you should ask the developers of those applications:

its strange, it says that "PSFreedom compatible with stock kernel and kernel-power"

To uninstall power-kernel, you need to use the application icon called "Deinstall Kernel-Power", it's an application that gives you the original kernel again.

i try to deinstall the kernel using that icon but it wont let me, i get that same error

and then "error during deinstallation. could not install nokia kernel"

damn. Try the manual deinstallation explained in the wiki

wow i tried that too and i get this error in xterm
"e: couldnt find package reinstall"

have you purged your apt-get cache perhaps?

trying that out but it's asking for a password. what do i put in? i don't remember putting any password other than a security code or pin for the sim
