I am looking for 425+sh dollars for a very slightly used freshly flashed n800, slim DS case for storage and a stowaway bluetooth keyboard. I have waited to long for skype and think a Linux UMPC is calling me instead. I just can't use the device for what the developers promised.

Skype was promised "in Q2" and since Nokia have been pretty good at hitting their somewhat vague deadlines so far, to me that means Skype will be with us the last Friday in June (29 June to be precise).

Linux UMPC... if you mean an Intel MID, they'll be several more months at least. Anything before mid 2008 will be based on battery sucking x86 hardware and not the 45nm x86 kit Intel have been demonstrating of late.

Out of interest, which Linux UMPC did you have in mind?

I was looking at any of the batch of UMPC out there loaded with Linux. I am a long time Linux geek, just because there is no sticker doesn't mean it won't work. I hear you on the dates for skype release. Nokia could do a little to help with screenshots or some status. We know skype works in Linux, sony of all people have it on the mylo. Guess we will see
