Whats the difference between the installed media player, Mplayer, canola?
If someone could just explain how they each work and how 1 might be better I would appreciate it. Also, do any allow the creation of pllaylists?

I actually use all three apps. There are some files I have that will not play on Mplayer but will play on the installed Media Player, and visa versa.

Hi Karel; it's a video file. It is an MP4 video file encoded with AAC Audio. It plays on the internal Media Player fine but the video and audio stutters when trying to play it in Mplayer. I have a few video files in the same format that act the same way. I posted in the "Apps" forum and one of the developers, Serge I think, said AAC audio is not really supported in video files in Mplayer.

Yeah, the videos settings are what my conversion program defaulted to for MPEG-4 conversions. Now I convert all my video with MP3 audio for the MPEG4 video files. I too only use MP3 for all my audio files.
I was deciding between the n800 and the Archos 704 WiFi. I decided to go with the n800 because it sounded like it handled the Internet better than the Archos, was a lot cheaper, and I have a Creative Zen W 60GB PMP player already. Now I hear Archos is going to release a new series soon that is better Internet compatible. Sounds like lots of MID called devices are coming soon. Wonder what the Nokia n900 will be like?
