I recently bought a used N810 & am wondering if any sort of progress has been made in the audio department, especially with regard to A2DP support. I tried playing some FLAC files & it seems that even though I have the DSP installed, most of the time all I get is raw audio playback & nearly zero tag support. With MP3s I don't get the tag issues on any of the available media player programs but unfortunately none allow you to make playlists & browse by folder like I do on Foobar2000 & Rockbox. With these players for the N810, only tags browsing is supported. Also, is A2DP even supported on most of the 3rd-party players?

I use mpd via a2dp.
Mainly I put n810 in pocket and don't use any gui.
But you can use sonata - GTK+ client for mpd
