    Trying this now. Does this still keep the swappiness at 30? And would I have to keep running this after every reboot?

    Battery is holding up really well. Left wifi on all last night and only a very small drop in battery this morning. Also sent a PM about emulators. They ran smooth and barely noticed and lag. Thanks again!

    Does this patch only effect pulse audio?
    I ask because a much easier way of increasing battery life by decreasing pulseaudio's activity would be to turn touch clicks off.

    I've done this and it has made a noticeable difference.

    Yep I turn off one aspect in pulse audio which is capture volume, the phone barely uses it an it takes up processes. The first time I started this project I took off too many aspects in pulse, which caused a lot of problem for users, If you read from the first page onward you would see what I mean.

    This time around however, I'm being safer by slowly working my way upward, As you could tell by my usual updates.

    @Tiago Tiago
    I have no plans to upload to the repose, as I require more feed backs to confirm whether this is even safe or not :/. Believe me, I don't want thousands of users coming here to flame me , seeing as I have a lot of bad feedbacks so far and one excellent one...

    I have another update thats even faster but I need to test more .

    Thanks ScourgeV

    Edit: Just thought I should put this here to show battery level increase...

    What increase?

    I've included 3 files, your batteryeye screenshot, my batteryeye screenshot and an overlay of the 2.

    I have not used your patches.

    At the time my speakers blew my volume was pretty low, it wasn't at all "loud". It happened while I was playing Quaker 3. This is why I said the n900 would never be able to play loud music because it's speakers are too weak. If the strain builds up, over time, they will in fact blow....
    I'm about to give this a go. I was scared to do it before because I wasn't sure which updates I'd done to my device. However since I flashed to PR1.3, I'm a bit more aware.

    The reason I'm posting is that I'm intrigued by the quote above. Have you fitted new speakers? If not, have you considered getting better speakers from another phone? Just a thought.
