So it is better to clutter the forum with duplicate threads, rather than point the user to where the question has already been answered.
And the reason people keep saying 'Use search' is because people keep coming on here, asking for answers to things they easily could have found by searching.
The number of times I've read a 'How can I do this...' thread and then clicked power search, typed some relevant key words, hit search and come up with the answer. It just makes you think 'Why could you not do that yourself'.

Some things are closed source and therefore cannot be fixed, your only chance for a fix is Nokia.

And you are incapable of articulating what you wanf fMMS to do. I may not understand the intricacies of MMS/picture messaging, but at least I can convey my thoughts in a logical manner.

So the people who bash Nokia for their lousy support, less than brilliant USB ports, crappy OVI Maps/OVI anything, are fanbois are they?
We are not fanbois, we are just looking at this logically. Something you appear incapable of doing.
How about linking to a FAQ where these things are answered? Too lazy? or perhaps it is more funny to be a nazi yelling and screaming? I'm just wondering, cause the logical thing to do would be making a FAQ. Anyway this is completely off topic.

Until you've written your version right?!
You know, the one that's integrated within conversations (requiring you to re-write the conversations app), and does the washing up for you too.

Can't wait! Let me know when its done (I expect it by Friday BTW).

    FAQ = Frequently Asked Questions

So far your the only idiot to ask this.

No one is going to write a FAQ just for you.

If you want a FAQ, you write one, or are you too lazy?!

That's blatantly wrong. Frais built an app to fill the gap left by Nokia, that for most intents and purposes does the job. In his own spare time. For free. Of his own volition.

As James Littler pointed out, "...modified hildon-desktop that rectifies a Nokia bug, titans advanced linux kernel for power users, USB host mode...". There was the fix for Modest, then the fm radio player. Look at PresenceVNC, better than VNC Viewer, built by a commercial operation.

To belittle a community that is the heart and soul of the n900 project is not on. Show a little class and dignity.

The only thing that "sucks" here is your attitude and ignorance. And I will find it very funny if there isnt any alternative to fMMS... just because that would clearly annoy you! Get lost.

there is FAQ's of all sorts publicly visible but who wants to copypaste urls leading to maemo wiki every day? the information is there, categorized, pretty easy to find. so do your homework.

Please stop feeding the TROLLS! If we leave them alone, they'll get bored and go and annoy someone else.

Thank you, frals, for the fMMS application, it is very useful and very useable, and everyone, Trolls aside, really appreciate your having taken the time to write it.

Implement fmms in the main conversations app! make a button on the top with new mms next to the existing new sms. and let the messages from mms being shown in the conversation list. it cant be that hard to make...

A standalone app indeed sucks. implement it! and it would be awsome.

oh yeah dont forget the button in a contact with the option to send mms
