When it comes to flashing, I am a Mobile Software Engineer, so not a lot know more than me. In fact I am at work right now, flashing some BS motorola phones. Anyways, thanks for your critics and help. I guess flashing will not help, as it does not affect the battery management. I will try things like running it at 900 and so. Thanks again.
Since you're a Mobile Software Engineer, maybe you can answer my question: I was assuming that flashing could fix some random corrupted file somewhere, and a corrupted file could affect battery management. No? That was my theory, anyway.

    - Use only 2g
    - Do you use any folder/categorization application?

Test for couple of days to see if battery depletion is still big. If not then one by one start using widgets / apps.

And on some level I find it bit offensive that you are using devel/testing repository and come off with question that you should be able to debug yourself (because well, you are using devel/testing).

Learn to use some basic analysis tools like:
    top
    htop
    powertop

Thanks. And for the offensive part, I have used all those commands, and I check battery life using the x terminal. I have been troubleshooting myself for a while now, with no clear results, and I thought the forum could help. NO means to offend anybody.

To answer your question, as long as when you update your firmware successfully (no issues whatsoever), you can be 100 percent sure that no files were corrupted/missed, especially when Nokia distributes software.
