May I ask when you last had confirmation of this date?
I was told June 11, 2007 about 2-3 weeks ago but before I made this post it was confirmed to me the day before... you think I am stupid to post something like this and think YOU or TEXRAT ain't gonna jump all over me? Now I get to make u 2 lok bad on June 11, 2007 and publically own u 2 once again.
Reread my initial post... I posted a FACT.. keep reading... I got putdown for it... totally got discredited... so now I will enjoy when I AM RIGHT & THEY ARE WRONG.
June 11, 2007 is the date the software is being released. That's all I am saying to you. It's 100% at this stage.
And all some are saying, myself included is that it is a developed product. If it was truly 100% it would be released. Anything that is developed is either released or still in development... Like an egg.
Two weeks is an awfully long time for a finished product to sit in the closet... especially in this market. New devices are being released every day. If any body has something that will cause the targeted market to spend their money on their product first, they would release it.
BTW, what is the date listed on the latest release? When was it officially released?
Now Nokia may be different but I suspect the next flash will remain a release candidate up until the day it is signed off on by all departments and approved by the powers that be.
You may be right and if you are, good for you. However, that would make your source pretty high up in order to know what other department heads within Nokia have already supposedly done. Signed off that is.

I guess on June 11, 2007 we wil see how it all goes down.

That's a very good point Yo. But on the other hand, the N800 itself sat impatiently for a special release date...
Now please quit squabbling and making me hope the date slips out of pure spite. I hate feeling like that.

I don't know. When 6/11 arrives I'm not sure what will be more fun...downloading Skype or reading this thread. But as a current Skype user, I'd be willing to bet on one thing: that there will be problems with it. But I'm still excited to find out how well it will work and what features it will have.
