no way to do that on both questions. limitations of skype on the n900.

Now that Skype is apparently available for download on Ovi maybe you could write to them (Skype) and suggest that they update it.

i think if you enter a contact maually adding the skype field, you can call them if they are invisible, at least i have a skype call button then
