When I install cuteTube I am still picking up the previous version 0.9.7-1. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Have you refreshed your catalogues in the application manager?

0.9.7.2 working again. but a bit slower.

Ctrl+backspace get you to your open apps and webpages but part of the video is visible in the background. looks really strange. bug or feature

If you use control+backspace your menus get parts of the movie you are playing

unfortunatlly the bug is not possible to catch with screenshots. looks ok on screenshots but not on screen. anyone else have this defect?

I can see it on FeedingIt, but not any of the other applications I have open. I'm not 100% certain what the cause is, and I notice a similar issue using MediaBox. I want to eventually move away from Phonon anyway, as it's not really satisfactory. It's not an easy issue to tackle, and none of the media players (aside from the stock one, and that stops playback upon minimising of the window) have particularly smooth perfomance IMO (in terms of the GUI, that is). Nokia have not exactly made it easy for third-party multimedia application developers.

The app works except actually playing and or downloading. It say "playing bla bla" but nothing happens. Downloading will just say failed, or completed without downloading anything.
