Hi, I seem to have a problem that doesn't appear in this thread previously. When i try to run cutetube i get it start then disappear so i ploughed through this thread and tried the fixes suggested.
I then tried running it from the Xterm and receive this error msg
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/user/.config/Stuart Howarth/cutetube.log

Is this the first time you tried using the application? It looks like I overlooked the fact that the config folder for cuteTube won't exist the first time you run the application.
EDIT: Yep. That's it. I'll fix it and release a new build later.

just 2 suggestions :
1-a new player ui, something cool, because the app looks awesome, but the player ui looks a bit ******ed .
2- a cutetube widget, yes that would be freaking awesome, just a normal youtube widget that displays favorites, or mmost viewed, or subscriptions vids.....

You are not helpful! Cool is not something that describes how devel should make this better.
This is better:
- Make buttons overlap (with little transparency) video so that video is not resized
-->I would like that but then again some people like to have buttons there always.
AND the BEST way of explaining UI tweaks is to open your photoeditor and do Mockup.
Video player UI will be improved when time allows. Other improvements have a higher priority, and the video player is currently slow to load (not a buffering issue, since the second video in a playlist loads quickly enough), so it might need a complete reworking anyway. There's no point in improving the UI, only to have to start again.
You don't have to use the on-screen controls. You can control the video player using the keyboard (details in the manual: About --> Manual ).
I have also thought about the possibility of a widget, and I want to do it. I need to fix the remaining bugs in the main application first.
In the meantime, I have uploaded a new build to extras-devel. Changelog:
Improved loading of video results. Should be faster.
Some tweaks to the fetching of video feeds.
Improved error handling.
I'm hoping that I have resolved the issue with favourites not loading, but I can't be certain. I experienced the issue myself last night, and it turned out to be due to one of my favourited videos being restricted by YouTube. So, if anyone still has that problem, you might want to check and make sure that you can still view the videos that are in your favourites.
is it possible to add an option for convert youtube videos into mp3?
also want to ask again for making facebook option better...

I have no plans to add conversion to mp3.
I have changed the Facebook sharing to include the video details, but it doesn't seem to be possible to embed the video using the python bindings to the Facebook Graph API. I spent some time last night trying, but I couldn't get it to work.
