Reading about this app today makes me wish there was a firefox/minimo port that was very active in the community. This kind of application is perfect for the IT, the ability to connect and run and then furthermore cache the google suite of apps for offline use would be excellent. The need for third party software to do PIM and doc handling would disappear and a lot of complaints about the utility of the N800/770 would evaporate.

<mode hope on>Could be that one of the reasons of the new software update?</mode hope off>

- Ajax based (some little efforts from opera engineers should be enough - and opera is amongst the name mentioned involved in the project for the mobile)
- it uses sqlite as local backend (already available on N800)
- google talk already working (and this means Nokia should know at least some Google plans to enter into MS sphere...)
- PIM is an application requested a lot between N800/770 users, why Nokia didn't developed one itself? <mode hope on>Because google gears was already on the road!</mode hope off>

fingers crossed!
