Hello,

can I start the security-mode (screenshot) by
dbus, c-code or Qt-code?

the command:

dbus-send --system --type=method_call --dest=com.nokia.mce /com/nokia/mce/request com.nokia.mce.request.req_tklock_mode_change string:"locked"

...used by powerlock and call-locker only turn the display off
and do not start the security-mode like started by menu.

Are you running as root when you issue that command? Just wondering if that makes any difference.

note that there is "phone-control" in the repos which simplifies this kind of stuff. once installed, phone-control --lock from the command line would do the trick. much easier than remembering the dbus equivalent.
