How do we remove sound files (recordings, etc) from Media Player library?

When I select (sorting) All Songs, all (sound) files including the ringtones are added. I want only music files. Help?

Try to create a new folder called "private" and add the files you don't want to be listed in music library! I hope it will resolve your problem!!!

I read somewhere we could use .(filename) to keep certain files from consolidating in the media player or pictures. But I keep getting an error to add the .(filename).

I want to keep my audiobooks out of the media player since the file names are Track1...

Help?

Try to edit /home/users/.config/tracker/tracker.cfg or use tracker-cfg from extras-devel(?) to hide the folders from the media player.
