I'm a big fan of Google products and use them intesively, but alas my ~month old N800 tablet can't cut it - has anyone figured out some workaround, patch or trick to get the Google Calendar to function on N800? I checked Google groups as well, but without luck.

It's really a shame, such a cool device stumbling on one of the most basic necessities of today (I'm _really_ hesitant to use any other calendar software or service, I'll rather just not use it on my N800).

Any insights deeply appreciated,

A tool to sync Google Calendar with a GPE Calendar on the N800 was announced today on the maemo mailing list. Maybe that could help ?

If you use the MiniMo browser instead of the default Opera browser, Google Calendar works great. I set mine to cover a 2 week period and it looks good.

The mobile version of Google Calendar works pretty good as well, but as GeerGuy said, MiniMo is best for using the full version of the calendar.

That'll be great when it's done. I currently take my google ics file and import it on a regular basis, but it's a manual process. Not to mention the fact that I have to manually edit the ics file to get rid of the WKST attribute from any of the RRULES. A pain, to be sure, but at least it works.

No, sorry.

- Dates uses Evolution Data Server,
until now, there was no way to access to EDS from Python.
I just see Conduit (EDS-python library) is out, but in alpha version.

- I have no time

- I want to work on another projects (on N800 !)

It works perfectly, Tahitibob. Thank you!!!

I entered events on GPE and (after pressing "update current profile")
they showed up perfectly on my google calender, and vice-versa....

Is it possible for the sync to happen automatically
(a) whenever opening GPE calendar or
(b) after closing having entered info into GPE calendar?

I'd ask about DATES too, but GPE seems pretty smooth these days!

Once again, I really appreciate your python genius!!
