power46 is in Extras-Devel. If you have Devel enabled (which I know you do since you were able to get the latest version of Advanced Clock Plugin), it's not a repository issue.

Umm... Actually, now that you resolved your Advanced Clock Plugin issue, you can try checking for updates and seeing if it'll show up. Also, are you sure you're using the right power kernel (IE, the one actually downloaded/installed from devel, instead of, say, uboot+powerkernel or whatever else? Because last I checked uboot for power-kernel in the repos is power46 to begin with.)

I managed to solve a similar problem by

1. Disabling all repositories. (I found I had to do this in Appman and Fapman.

2. Running apt-get update to make certain all problems were solved.

3. Enabling repositories one at a time and running apt-get update till I found the one that caused the problem.

4. Looking at the repository and noticing that it had fremantle-1.3 in it.

5. removing the 1.3 and rerunning apt-get update to see if the problem was fixed.

I found it easier to solve this problem if I tested only using Appman.

All of this is utterly untrue. I've been routinely doing point upgrades of Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, and others for near on a decade. So long as you are running a fairly standard installation, upgrading generally poses no risk at all. In instances where it does, you can usually fix it trivially anyway.

The problem seems to have magically disappeared after an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade.
My N900 is still running pr1.2 because pr1.3 is useless to me.
I suspect 'Catorise' to be the application that broke my Hildon GUI.

You've got to be kidding me. Ubuntu is even easier to upgrade than Windows.

There are so many threads about Kernel Power that I didn't know where to post. As this is related with the latest version v46, I suppose it could be the right place.

Is anyone still maintaining the Power Kernel package? v46 didn't go into Extras Testing...
There is a very known issue related with rebooting, sometimes it simply shutdowns. Is there any chance to fix it?
A new version including the bleeding edge wifi drivers would be very appreciated.
I think there are also some missing modules related with USB hostmode.
