The max freq that can be set is varied from device to device. OP what is your range set?

my clock ranges are 250 to 1100Mhz and never had a problem. my friend tried to go 1100 also but he's n900 came VERY unstable after 850Mhz even though we have the same versions of OS and our phones are bought almost at the same time
