Hhhmm, Mine rdesktop is working fine after CSSU.

By the way: If you go to Menu -> Setting -> About what is your product version? Mine didn't change at all after CSSU.

Guys.

Installed yesterday morning and only issue I noticed was a slight pixelation of the little loading circle on the top bar in things like ham. Completely dissapeared after installing catorise though. Everything else thus far has worked a treat. I did a reflash before installing update so can't comment on performance improvement as my system was due a tidy up anyway. Fresh install might be why I havent seen any of the issues mentioned thus far.

Keep up the good work guys! I look forward to seeing how far this goes.

Some of the image bugs people report (some image pixelated/glitched) have nothing to do with the CSSU. I had random icons load poorly before - usually it's in the form of a single random-colored 1-pixel-wide short line in the image. Basically, looks like the image got slightly corrupted/screwed-up. But reboots ALWAYS fix it for me. (Sometimes another image loads screwed up the next boot, but usually not.) So it's not a CSSU thing, it's just some random bug elsewhere, that shows up if the icons get loaded badly at boot, near as I can tell. (Not sure what the underlying technical explanation is.)

As for Remote Desktop - I'll be happy to test it if someone points me to a free Remote Desktop server I can install on my computer(s). I run VNC on my machine, so never needed to install Remote Desktop.

and reboot

*Twitch*

One page ago. One, page, ago. This was answered. And then two pages before that. And then a couple pages before that. Maybe not literally, but it's been answered multiple times in the last few pages. Is it really too hard to go "hmmm... maybe someone just asked the same question about the software I just downloaded, let me skim over the last couple of pages..."? (Hint: The correct answer is no.)

It has to do with how the various stuff is set in custom hildon desktops - resetting it as per the above posts' instructions fixes it.

- Edit -

Rob1n: Thank you for having more patience than me in answering these things.

Normal windows can be controlled remotely, you just have to enable it and create a session.
How ever I do not know if it is the same protocol.
As i am not using Windoze, I cant test it.

Bit confused by this: Are we talking about Windows machines, or Linux? Remote Desktop is the Windows default for these things, no?

Anyway, to clarify: I run Windows on my laptop and home machines. I have VNC servers installed on them. I have both VNC and RDesktop installed on my N900, and would be happy to see if I have the RDesktop+CSSU bug some people are reporting.

So, my source of confusion is, we are talking about Windows systems, right, and if so, what do you mean by "Normal windows" (normal 'windows' - as in single programs running in a window, or normal 'Windows', as in the OS)?

Thanks in advance.

If you are using a Windows machine, then just enable "Remote Desktop".

Win7:
System Properties -> Remote
or
Control Panel -> System -> Remote settings
