And I saw some wired auto-focus behavior with the stock camera-ui as well.
Can't test now, it's gone as I understand it. I remember old camera doing some dark focus thing, but I also remember it actually locking. But without side-by-side, it's hard to tell. Plus, it's hit-and-miss as it is. Plus, if it did focus like a drunken polar bear playing darts we all missed it because it didn't advertise the lock. I still think it's good that you do, I can try again.

fcamera does a lot better, I assume it's because it uses fcam drivers to access camera. I assume switching kind of defeats the purpose of having a replacement to normal drivers. Wish I could have both.

Unfortunately, after the big crash of 12-04-11 (that's last night), I had to revert the OS and optfs via backupmenu, I couldn't trust an uninstaller. As a result, I also turned the clock on logs, calls, databases and all other useful info. (Battery-eye looks ridiculous)

hopefully the next update doesn't allow the camera to flip to portrait mode because i can only see a quarter of the screen. that is all

If forced rotation isn't set, it doesn't flip.

But I love portrait mode on other applications. It's just that the camera is not usable if it flips, only one quarter of the screen can be viewed (can't take portrait shots).

Typically, one would need to open lens cover, close camera app, lock landscape orientation, open camera app, which is a long process..
Also if you have Almost TI calculator, it rotates so you can only see half of the screen and flickers like it's having a seisure.

An awesome new addition would be to be able to disable autorotation for the Camera and Almost TI calculator

Has anyone tested if they can screen capture (CTRL+SHIFT+P)? I seem to have lost the ability to take a screenshot. I was definitely able to do so beforehand, because I took the following screenshot just be installing it:

Also while I am talking screens, my screen specifically along the top left hand corner where the task icon is, the clock and the icons that display battery etc.... are showing pixels, almost as if the screen has blown like a TV revealing one dead pixel. It's just started after installing CSSU Transitions tuner.

Okay.. how weird... Do you mind telling me if you have CSSU tuner installed? It's the only thing i installed after the update.

    Yeah I do.
It might be something completely unrelated that's changed it.

eg The 9 desktop 'bug'. I have 2 devices, one recently flashed, one flashed when PR 1.3 came out. The former allows 9 desktops the latter doesn't.

I think it might be best if people did actually reflash if they can, because over time settings and files get messed about by different programs and the reflash is one sure-fire way of resetting things. Obviously that brings with it a prerequisite number of hours if not days to try and get things the way they were, so it's not always viable.

In this instance however, there's a way of assigning these keypress shortcuts so you should be able to reassign it.

I recently flashed because I wanted those 9 views that you mention. Before I had Theme Customizer, and it was this application that caused the Views not to work. And you right, I have a 2GB backup of applications to re-install, literally took a day or two to get it back to normal.

Edit: I found the keyboard remapping page. That looks interesting, I'll have a play around. Thanks for mentioning that Mrsellout, I didn't know one could do this.

From the new gconf features I have some trouble either understanding the meaning of the "menu editor" (I think it refers to the desktop configuration) or it doesn't work in my case.
Could someone confirm or correct me please?

    I've done the following:
    Code:
    ~ $ gconftool-2 -s /apps/osso/hildon-desktop/menu_edit_disabled -t bool true
    ~ $ gconftool-2 -g /apps/osso/hildon-desktop/menu_edit_disabled
    true
    ~ $
but even after a reboot the desktop if pressed for a long period (> 1 sec) it enters into config mode.
