You didn't really answer the hildon acceleration one. If it is the tweak described in this post then it really should come with a warning because it isn't stable, it made my (otherwise stable) N900 freeze up several times before I was sure it was the cause and I disabled it again, but YMMV and it may work for some. If it is something different I'd be interested to know what exactly it is.
Just spent the entire night troubleshooting my N900 that would freeze and spontaneously reboot several times a day. After disabling hildon acceleration the problem seems to have gone away. I'm at 950mhz/ULV.
I recommend you update the botton to toggle the feature on and off. Right now the button only enables the feature.
The crashes seemed to be triggered by sustained high cpu usage. Opening OpenOffice Writer inside LXDE was always a sure way to trigger a reboot.

Good choice; this tweak doesn't make the device any faster and I already posted it (it has to do with screen+vbl+double buffer; very geeky stuff). Anyway I will un-thank the post and not giving anymore explanation on this. Thanks for sharing your experience though!
Control panel in portrait mode works great. BUT my status menu is not going into portrait mode even though it says it installed successfully.
Can anyone please help? I'm tried to install the hildon-status-menu 0.3.39+0m5 hoping to fix this and did it via the "dpkg -i hildonfix.deb" since i renamed the file to hildonfix and placed it in home folder but i get this error:
dpkg: error processing hildonfix.deb (--install) :
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
hildonfix.deb
I get the same error when i type "dpkg -i /home/user/Mydocs/hildonfix.deb"
Also will you integrate forced autorotation for all apps and rotation about the Z-axis, and blurless destaturation? I lost those when i installed the MAG hildon desktop.
Thanx for the amazing app .... i loved it ....
But the main problem is that before installing maemodder , i just installed the CSSU update and everything was working fine .... But when i installed maemodder , only some mods are working ......

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mp-fremantle-community-pr: Depends: hildon-desktop (>= 1:2.2.142-11) but 1:2.2.140-1+0m5 is to be installed

E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

A great work Danny! Here you have another lover of MaeModder. However, that issue rised up by 'abhideva' is frightening me. I really love both but I've met so many issues lately that I'm fed up of re-flashing again.
Is it possible to upgrade those packages that 'abhideva' mentioned in his report for your MaeModder?
