@maxx: do you mean when the proximity sensor is close then show media bar and if it open hide the media bar?
thats the setting i want too....
@NightShift79: those are some very nice mock ups would be cool to have mediabar get to that stage
Correct my friend. I want it to only show up when it is covered and when it is not it disappears without having to wait for it to go away after setting the time.
I think I should supply a manual :P
Metadata is received when you switch songs, metadata only shows when the mediaplayer controls are visible, those controls are only visible if you hold the mediaplayer icon.
Is it that hard?
I agree. You should be on the Nokia payroll to continue beefing up Maemo 5. Nokia were basically laughing their heads off taking $500 per N900 then ditching Maemo support less than a year later. Not cool, Nokia, not cool!

yes very hard indeed. lol.
Anyway why not make song metadata display continuously in the MBar? this way we don't have to keep going to back to media player to find out which song we are playing. Also if you can put a widget inside it would be nice.
Scenario:
Browsing website and can't be bother to go back to the onscreen widget and would like to press the proximity sensor and change song or skip the boring song.
it's so nice that mediabar
Btw, thx MohammadAG for the compiling tip
now I got it.
I have changed the buttons to "flat". now only the icons are visible.
Upnext Im going to add a nice "bar-ish" background.
As I'm a total dev noob, I would put a label behind the buttons in the .ui and add a pixmap to it.
now add ressource file...
I have a little problem: I can't save settings. Every time I open Media Bar options menu everything is at its default value, my settings are always discarded. Any idea?
