Which package u-boot did you install???
Code:
root@Nokia-N900 ~]# apt-cache search uboot
uboot-mkimage - generate kernel image for U-Boot
uboot-power - Installs u-boot to the kernel area, along with kernel-power-46. RISKY INSTALL. U-Boot boot loader for Maemo 5 PR1.3 w/ kernel-power v46. DO NOT USE THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. RISK OF REBOOT LOOPS! MAY EAT YOUR BRAIN. To remove this again, apt-get install --reinstall kernel-power kernel-power-flasher and reboot.
uboot-pr13 - Installs u-boot to the kernel area, along with PR1.3 kernel. RISKY INSTALL.

im also curious about this, as im in a similar situation, and would prefer not to reflash atm

surely there are commands i can type to get around this, but i cant read them all when i type 'help' as they scroll off the screen too fast.

erk... i cant even manage that atm, as my PC wont recognise my n900 and install the drivers, so the flasher just sits idle at 'suitable USB device not found, waiting'

did a search, and seen that it the issue has come up before for quite a few people, but i cant seem to find a solution

Hi!

As i have the same problem, what would happen if we use the mentioned command to remove it?
"apt-get install --reinstall kernel-power kernel-power-flasher"
Anyone knows?
