Well basically, I have a broken n900 which I've given in to nokia repairs and it is unable to be fixed but there wasnt anything wrong with the screen when I gave it in... I've found a n900 going for pretty cheap but the seller has said the screen is cracked and slider is stiff, so I'm thinking if the n900's price doesn't go up too high then I'm going to buy it and fit my screen on to it.

Do you think this is a good idea?

Also, the phone is believed to be locked to 02, my n900 was on vodafone but was unlocked. How hard would it be to unlock the phone and roughly how much?

Thanks in advance.

I've not actually heard of any locked N900s before. May be wrong, but I haven't.

I wouldn't pay too much for a phone that sounds like it's been through the war.

yeh the motherboard is damaged so I needed a new motherboard which is basically a new phone.. hmm I guess even if I buy it there would have to be some way of unlocking it, if it does turn out to be sim locked.

Thanks for the replys anyways
