The white portion you see is the WIMAX module that is fitted onto the N770.

Do note that this may not be how the final version looks like, if it is ever released.

The photo is from CommunicAsia2007.

URL/more details?

Of course, there's no possibility of anything similar for the N800 given its port arrangement.

I also can't see this as any consumer level accessory (if it's real) as it destroys some of the portability that Nokia considers key.

Nice to see as a concept, though.

Hi Torx,

Did you see anything else nice at CommunicAsia2007? I was wondering whether to pop down and take a look.

Well if cutting edge cell phones are your kind thing, why not? But for me, it isn't that much of a eye opener.

I have to say there are some pretty nifty cellphones by Samsung though, which can watch broadcast tv.

That is pretty cool stuff there Torx, thanks for posting so quickly, one question though, is the PCMCIA/CDMA/laptop card necessary or did it just happen to be in the shot ?
And btw I'd be curious or thankful for any reporting/shots of new smartphones not only running Linux OS but the new HTC (touch)handsets etc as well.
