New free game for Maemo in Ovi Store:

"Sphyro is an abstract 3D strategy game. Two players built up a pyramid by placing spheres on a game board. The player who is able to place the last sphere on the peak of the pyramid wins the game. Some very few rules make this goal tricky and challenging to achieve. Play locally against friends or against people all over the Internet. Compete with the world and improve your world ranking position. Do you make it into the top ten?"

the game locked my phone completely at first try. I had to remove the battery. After restart, it works fine but I'm not sure I like it.
It's 2 player game.

There is now Sphyro 3D full version for Maemo in Ovi Store:

besides internet and local game against a friend it includes gameplay against the computer (A.I. engine with varying levels of difficulty)

There is now the Top 20 updated in real time and how the world ranking is calculated.

Shpyro 3D Lite has been downloaded more than 15000 times in the last 2 weeks. It was the most downloaded game on Ovi Store for Maemo for a week, now it is at position #2.

We released the full version which costs 1 EURO a few days ago, with game play against the computer

but unfortunately it has sold only 10 copies so far.

So if you like the game please support us by buying the full version.

We produce cross platform apps and Sphyro currently runs on Maemo, all Symbian touch phones, Android and soon Iphone/Ipad, Windows and OS X.
We plan to continue to support Maemo and Meego as soon as it comes out because we think it's a great technology with an enthusiastic userbase!

Sphyro 3D is now available for all Symbian Touch phones too eg Symbian 5th ed phones like Nokia 5800, N97 etc and for the new Symbian^3 phones (N8,C7,C6-01,E7 etc)

could you implement a sound or a vibration when an opponent is ready to score? sometimes display is turned off and i am not able to see the game in time
