The N900 has an off switch? :-)

I guess I've had mine about a year, I don't think it's been turned off for more than an hour in total during the entire time.

I'm not the kind of guy that gets offended if someone calls me at 3am anyway, and I'm happy to let a text message go unread for several hours if I don't feel like being interrupted.

Offline or turn off? Neither. I leave mine turned on and plugged in to the charger overnight. The original Nokia battery costs about $15 to replace so it's no big loss if it dies.

I charge mine while at work and using it (web, radio, surf during the day). I leave it on at night but not plugged in. No problems with battery this way.

I leave mine on always. It doubles as an alarm clock for me. I simply created a nighttime profile with profilesx (no sound except for calls and alarms) and set up alarmed to switch to it automatically. I usually charge in the car going to work or at the office. If needed, I'll charge it overnight.

I run mine all night, charging and half-stuck under my pillow running sleep analyzer. I'm still trying to figure out how to have sleep analyzer trigger evil alarm though

I keep mine charging and on while I sleep.

I keep mine charging and on while I am at work.

I keep mine charging and on while I am in the car.

I hope that my journeys into charger-free areas last fewer than 5 hours.
