Great app ! I use it connected to a php script linked to my company's database. So I don't have to manually enter all of my customers into my n900. Thanks a lot.

Can any North American user please show me/us what there XML file looks like, I'm having trouble getting my head around this app. I understand how it works just can't seem to get it to work? Like getting it to work in daemon mode or just setting it up .

Is there no further development in this application? I am eagerly waiting for an update in which the application runs on startup.
Also, I noticed something. If we run the application multiple times simultaneously, the banners come up multiple times. I think that this can/should be avoided by having the app check at start, if an instance is already running.

Seems the developer got busy or he simply abandoned us..

I'm extremely busy with other stuff right now. I've barely slept for a week.

But when I get time, next plan is probably to see if I can use Telepathy to get notified of incoming calls and look up contacts, instead of listening to dbus and searching the addressbook myself. (Then it would also be possible to have it work for SkypeIn and SIP calls, plus the current contact lookup might be more robust since I wouldn't have to reinvent whatever the builtin phone stack does.)

After that, I'll add the ability to use multiple directories for the same area, so that if the number is not in one directory, maybe it is found in another. I also wish to allow one of the directories to be a local file, instead of online lookup. That way you can have a company directory or a list of telemarketers downloaded to the device. And it'll probably be easy to add an option to reject calls that matches anything in a telemarketer directory.

Eventually I'll probably have user-specific configuration and a settings dialog, I guess. Only then will startup-on-boot be integrated, I think, since the user should be able to turn the app off with a setting. Given I that do this in my spare time, and I don't have much spare time or money these days, you probably can't expect me to get to this for a few weeks, at least.

But until then, you can probably configure it to run on startup yourself by just doing what MohammadAG suggested (though I'd probably do it slightly differently, but I still have to look into it).
