This is now my fourth n900 with the same problem so i guess you`re still luckier then me , anyway i tried not installing any software whatsoever just updating firmware and after a while it still had the problem....here we are trying to figure out what is wrong with our phones and i can`t help but think that nokia should offer more assistance...

IMHO no other solution, than to not use n900 as a phone or someone with good electronics skill and equipment could open his/hers up and see whether this is fixable

There is a solution! I tried flashing, paper behind battery, dropping it, pretty much everything including spit and holy water!

I freaking Fixed my phone! after declaring it for dead!
I used a similar fix as here http://www.jabawok.net/?p=14

I just used 4 little cuts of paper, no glue, no fancy nothing, just hand clips of a presentation card i had lying around in the office.

For anyone with a dead n900, there is still a way to revive it!

Im soo dam happy!

I'am happy to confirm, because for my N900 this method also helped. Instead of spring, I used silcon glue drops on the chips. Hope our N900 will now live long
