Maybe it's a category issue. I used "user/hidden" or some such nonsense instead of "user/communications" as I should have.
Please try the standard Application Manager. I know it's a lot slower than FAM, especially with extras-devel enabled. I'm sorry about that.
That is probably the reason. When you update the app, could you change the category? I use FAM so I can selectively update and install programs from extras-devel, and have everything else get updated using the regular repositories.
