K123, was it my imagination or did you say that you played (some) 720p mkv videos on it?

Isn't DVI and HDMI the same signal minus the sound? I've got a couple of dumb dvi -> hdmi adapters at home, but I haven't tried them on arbitrary hardware to see if they always work.

Thanks for the feedback I so look forward to this device and the new tech used on the n9. A dream come true for me. So from what I'm getting the screen is about the same as the Nokia n8.

yes, dvi and hdmi are compatible... but only hdmi 1.0-1.3 (i guess). hdmi 1.4 has more bandwidth (for better sound) and also a back channel and thinks like that.

and i STILL hope that it will have a good DC SoC (e.g.U8500)

and first i was a little bit disappointed about the space/sd-card thing... but if it has 64GB, why not, my N900 only has 32GB+SD-Card, so the maximum is the same

Now i hope that my provider dont want extra money for the micro-sim card...

    In German though.
thank you for the information about the front cam, now i dont have to post it

@ALL: Zeh mentioned in his german site that the front cam for video calling is at the bottom right corner of the device... yes, bottom right... first i though that it could be the new place for some sensors, but K123 told me that it is the front cam...

so, WHY did they place it at the bottom right corner?

maybe its the cam mentioned in this pic (14B)
its just a theory, so dont take me too serious...
(and if you say that on the picture there are 3 cams, maybe they have found out how to do it with one )

    keep on rumoring guys...

As I understand it, the Beagleboard includes a TFP410 to provide its DVI-D output. In the N900, no DVI framer chip is present, and those video output lines just drive the LCD.

What we have lost in the way (no particular order)

    1. Keyboard
    2. FMTX *
    3. IR
    4. μSD
    5. stereo speakers *
    6. desktop widgets
    7. x-terminal
    8. hardware lock switch
    9. Stylus

    * unconfirmed

I'm definitely not going to trade all these for 54pixels, no way.
