Mornage. I have just recovered from not being able to update. managed to get out of it by restoring a backup of rootfs. (didn't restore backup of opt even though I know it's naughty). Backup was from end of April. I don't know what caused it, but seeing other people having issues, it is possibly related to one of these patches. My issue was being unable to update over wifi or 3g. not everything, but anything needing to use sudoers folder (which is a lot of things). Also, weather would only update over 3g and not on wifi. All is fixed now. I can't say it was definitely down to speed patch but there wasn't much else I did. I am about to make a new backup now before trying patches again.
The speed patch was working good I think, with video playing smoothly on websites like iplayer (it's very jumpy now without the speed patch, which is why I want it back). Didn't notice any difference in battery, but didn't really put it to much testing, but if it was better then it wasn't noticeable at least. Certainly wasn't any worse.

Quick question before I shut up and stop waffling on .........
What, if anything, does speed/battery patch do to/with sudoers foler and files?

what the fck is ur problem? i said that after i installed batterypatch from the repos i got another update thru HAM. it says current version 1.9 update version 1.9-5. cant you read normal english. guess ur language is something else. even if it is..you shud undrstnd it.cz its basic grammer. shame
