    What if I have seen is an improvement in battery life with "kp V49" and batterypatch version 1.9-7

    i install speed and battery patch .deb, and got a lot of reboot: last cssu, power kernel 48. i uninstall batterypatch and it's ok.
    But the battery drain fast. Something like six hours.

    Edit: this is just my test.

    @turbovomit

    don't use the .deb versions they are very old
    just install the patches from HAM or FAM or
    apt-get install batterypatch speedpatch

    @zurrain101
    there are custom profiles (overclock, underclock) buut they have the same voltages as the default profile
    so i avoid reboots

    @ ALL
    what's in the newest batterypatch:

    When device is locked : or system is inactive
    while the keyboard is closed

    1-) vfs_cache goes to 10
    2-) multiple processes are paused (which are known to use CPU in standby)
    3-) change to underclock profile which has vdd1 vdd2 enabled powersavebias=20 (but with the stock voltages)

    When the device is unlocked or brightness is on
    doesn't require the keyboard to be opened

    1-) vfs goes back to 100
    2-) overclock profile is loaded which has vdd2 and conservative mode with powersavebias=20
    3-) the multiple processes are started again

    PS: if you are downloading or installing something which takes a long time and you locked the screen while you don't want batterypatch gets activated
    and you don't want to make N900 slow in standby
    just open the keyboard and lock the screen
    then nothing happens if N900 is in standby (while keyboard is opened)
    and if you are done simply close the keyboard and lock the screen so the batterypatch gets activated

    Is this good to use stock voltages? Maybe You could try the LV ones. They are lower than stock but still work ok.

    @trisha02
    if so then that is not needed

    @fw190

    you can moder the overclock and underclock profiles in /usr/share/kernel-power-settings
    to fit you N900

    //EDIT

    i have updated the 1st post
