Also, I get this behaviour even after uninstalling speedpatch using the script.
OK, so I figured out that this is some sort of cacheing issue with x-term. Changing the font of x-term clears the cache and instead of that 'old' screen being displayed for a second or two it's just a dark blank screen. So all is well.
the non-kp version has no smartreflex because it has no kernel-power
only pausing processes (which i will remove later)
so only vfs trick is the effective = only saving power at standby
but the kp version improves standby and continues
Good information. Thank you Karam. Installing batterypatch-non-kp to N900 (with Kernel-power v49 and speedpatch) restored all good features without any fault. Happy with speedpacth and batterybatch over again!
@matinvesi
you will need to install batterypatch not batterypatch-non-kp
@noetus
well i didn't think that it's cached
but if you restart (and if there were no applications, patches, or anything that will lead into an unproper shutdown ) then the speedpatch must work on the next boot
you can check better with
cd /dev/cgroup/user
ls
and you should see files and a folder (or more) with the number if PID of the current xterm window

/////EDIT
aaaaaah i just got it noetus
i just looked at the screen shots
the first one shows the time between pressing on the xterm icon and the time when it launches
that's actually a fake window created by hildon-desktop
it's cached by it
that means you have installed speedpatch and launched xterm (without being cached before)
and it's known that speedpatch doesn't work before rebooting directly after installation process
there are other applications that are cached too (as a fake window when launching)
you can modify/delete any of those apps (which are cached) by :
Code:
cd /home/user/.cache/launch
rm (* any one you want)
they are like :
com.nokia.xterm.pvr
com.nokia.****

@Karam
A few weeks ago i did everything from your first post.
It all worked very well, the battery seemed to last a little longer and my N900 was working very smooth.
A few days ago i installed the update for batterypatch, and this is really incredible...
I charged by USB and after 36 hours my N900 is still at 74%
Ok, only on low use, checking with advanced power and Conky
But still, it's really amazing...
Looks just like new and in december i got him 2 years
Thx Karam
