PS: you may feel no differences
maybe because you are not used to stress N900 a lot
or maybe overloaked n900 a lot
if so then decloak and you will see the same performance

    cheers
I may have to agree with karam.

In my case I don't overclock my N900 (I wanted to take care of this device and keep this for as long as I can). For me, this script opened the door for an alternative to overclocking when it comes to achieving better performance to some extent.

As for my usage pattern, speed/responsiveness is okay with CSSU and Swappolube, as well as some best practices (i.e. not having too many widgets or apps that keep on running in the background).

What just concerns me is the slowdown whenever I turn on my IM application since I rarely open multiple instances of the browser. Multi-tasking when IM is on makes my N900 really slow. When I applied this script, that's when I really noticed the difference. Basically the script does its job during the times that I need performance/responsiveness the most (i.e. situations of high load on CPU/memory).

having this script with swap on my class 10 sd card overclocked with 250-750 with smart reflex enabled makes my phone a pleasant experience for once. Like its not even fair how responsive it is. Only time will tell, Im one of those users that usually doesnt get a day out of hildon-desktop without it freezing up. I did a reflash 2 days ago but however I can tell a huge difference with the script.

i have backed off on the clocking down to 750 from 900 also turned smart reflex on, just shows how well this script works. just wondering how mame games will respond with change, will see

    hmmm..

    karam.

i've not been getting fluid multitasking lately. i've tried reinstalling just to make sure i didn't miything and checked with /dev/cgroup/cpu and the patch is indeed there.

i don't know if it's because i stress it too much.. this is what i was doing until hildon-home showed warnings of crashing, and many instances of prompts where the apps were also crashing and the phone became extremely unresponsive.

3 accounts online, FAM updating catalogs, 3 web browsers loading, conky, and 1 SMS coming. phone froze many times and hildon-home crashing many times. the widgets i have are:

    personal dataplan monitor
    cpu memory statusbar monitor
    personal IP
    calender widget
    conversations inbox
    mediaplayer widget...

what's wrong? i remember one or two previous patches where it ran super smooth without any signs of crashing...

EDIT: i think i found a workaround to it. i'll test it some more and if it works, i'll post what i did to make it work.

this preasent script is better than the 1 epitah got his hands on but i found much better with performance with the scrit just before that im just wondering i the remove process has anything to do with these users unexpected results with the new script
the first time i installed this it was brilliant but since reaplying the newer versions its not quite as good but still better than stock

    @Dark_Angel85

i don't know what happened in your N900
But in my experience of using N900

    personal dataplan monitor
caused me a lot of troubles
    i removed it

FAM updating catalogs or HAM (if it was bziping the downloaded packages + conky) will cause a crash with hildon-desktop
it is a bug in hildon it self
    not with the patch

and everything else should be normal

    @stooobs

i didn't inderstand evreything you said but what i understanded is that older versions are better

well this version is a reverse for older versions
    install the newest version available

EDIT : aah i just got what you said
no it has nothing to do with removeing process
however you must remove older versions before installing the new one
