hai,iam from INDIA (state-tamil nadu).iam using n900 about last one year.i need big help regarding typing tamil language words in n900.if any one know,please help me.....BY:n900 lover.

Hey i am from nellore ,andhrapradesh.I think we cant type in specific fonts but we can install specific fonts and can view the language related content like news papers.I have installed telugu font in /usr/share/fonts.If its otherwise,please let me know.

// ammu tamilaa nee?? naanum thaan ...mee too using n900 de..i have installed tamil fonts long back successfully..u want to know it huh...??? did u install it....athu romba easy thaan....now am tryin to install android on n900....unnakku theriumaa?? androin and maemo both can be installed in n900..dual boot...hav u tried it??

for tamil fonts download latha.ttf from here
http://www.4shared.com/get/kQTreQyG/latha.html
then go to xterminal and type the following
root
mkdir ~/.fonts
mv /home/user/MyDocs/latha.ttf ~/.fonts/
(better copy paste it from your N900)
now u can browse tamil based web pages and type in tamil language too..
@bharathi1986 android is still in development akka.. calls and messages aren't working.. in android 2.3.7 update camera works but its very laggy..
and by the way i am shocked to c users from tamilnadu..
