I am building an SMS & Call Blocker. How many of you would want an app like this?

@pursueky: Maybe in the later versions if you guys would help in translating

@casketizer @droll Pattern matching is one of the key features I plan to implement; would work for both .. calls and sms.

is the answering machine capability possible? is there a way to playback an audio clip to the caller without using tricks like using the external speaker and letting the microphone capture the audio? i mean really route it internally?

i know recording the phone call is already possible. i've seen apps and widgets that do that.

it would be really cool to be able to have an answering machine on the phone. i can turn off the voice mail feature from my phone company too and save some cash!

With software on my N95, I was able to play pre-defined recording which was useful if I was ignoring someone and wanted to play a "this person is out of our network reach" message, just so they don't know I'm ignoring them.

Here's what I am planning to do:
    1. One integrated app for SMS and Call blocking.
    2. Block calls and SMS based on whether they are from your contacts or not.
    3. Black lists and white lists with wild card support (*) to do something like (+1*) to block all calls from US, for example.
    4. Block all SMS+Calls (Do not Disturb)
Yes please! a great idea, can't wait

Hey @realsportscars .. I am almost finished with the code, now just debug and packaging. It's in python btw. Maybe we can link together for the next versions?
