With MeeGo or Maemo on top I'd buy this in a blink.

I want it all, the best of both worlds.
I want minimal bezel, on a nice 4.5" glass.
I want it to have a brilliantly designed (large 'n clicky) qwerty keyboard.
I want it on a rather slim profile.
I also want the N97/N950's tilt mechanism with volume/camera buttons acting as shoulder pads.
I want, but I can't have, cause noone wants to sell me what I want, they just want to sell what iFans want.
Guess I'll have to make this suggestion to Apple cause if they sell a handheld with such qualities, then rest assured the other OEMs (the real iSheep) will copy.

Without MeeGo or Maemo I'll buy it in a blink. With them kinda specs it will be my next phone. I was alreadying eyeing it and now no N950 in sight it will be my next phone.

Communicator series were bit bulky like pencil box, so no one liked it. But N900 / N97 (even N800) changed the whole concept smartphones with H/W keyboard making it slim and good looking withour compromizing the functionality

N900 an N97 changed the game? Lol.
Both where sales flop and did not introduce anything new on hw side.

You need to remember at what time communicators where out and in that time communicators where truly amazing pieces of hw, not so much with N900, not to even talk about N97.
Communicators introduced things like PDA functionality first in the market in 1996, 9500 was first western phone with wifi, 9210 was 4th and first Nokia to introduce color screen etc.

hw keyboard is not going anywhere. touch centric phones are the "it" thing right now but that doesn't mean everybody likes it. as long as there are people like us who love hw keyboards, we are still going to get at least 1 model from time to time from manufacturers. small fraction of market but still worthit to be customers for those manufacturers...

even the japanese who are known to be so advanced is not totally ready for touchscreen only phones. sharp still tries to incorporate android in keitai form...

Thats an old generation thing. We can't live without touchscreen either. I think the form factor used by N900, n9, and E7 is the best which provides, touchscreen and physical keyboard.

@ tissot These 2 didn't fail because of form factor. N97 failed because of crappy hardware and S/W issues N900 is a great device but because of lack of support it wasen't successful. And then N900 is s tablet designed for technical enthusastics like us. A stupid!!!!! novice user will never value its potential. Unfortunately enthusastics like us are in minority

Ok I don't really believe this but I think someone needs to sell HWkb's to consumers, and they're never going back.
Can you see Apple releasing this anytime soon....

It might be the one and only time I would ever consider an Apple. (shhhhhh don't tell a sole I said that), although that would be a Big big IF.
