I second this, It will be pretty nice looking

but also please make it configurable, so people who doesn't want this can disable it.

also, please try fixing the wrong sub-menu level change that occurs when the device is rotated.

this is apparent if you have catorise or appmefo, if you choose games for example then rotate the device, you are back at the main menu, while it's not that bad for one level change, it becomes annoying if you have sub-sub-sub menus !

    ex. root_menu>games>pregames>arcade>

then you rotate the device, and you are back at the root_menu !

    thanks in advance !!

I am not entirely happy with the current blacklist method...

    Here is my point:
Most apps are build specific for portrait, landscape or both. In almost all cases that's the way I want them to act. Just keep forcefotation =0 (disabled) one would say.

BUT: some applications (like modest) do scale very good in portrait although made landscape only.

Those few applications I would like to mark for autorotate.

In the current situation I would have to mark huge amount of applications not to autorotate (all except the ones I would like to autorotate).

I would be very helped if I could mark the application (in /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini) I want to autorotate, like
    apps_force_rotate = modest, ...

Do more people feel this way?

Then your transition.ini havnt been replaced, replace it with transitions.ini.dpkg-dist (i think you need to be root)
    Code:
    cd /usr/share/hildon-desktop
    ls
(does transitions.ini.dpkg-dest excist? if note, dont continue).
    cp transitions.ini transitions.ini.bak
    rm transitions.ini
    cp transitions.ini.dpkg-dist transitions.ini
reboot, run CSSU Features and then edit the new transitions.ini

Its given error "transitions.ini.dpkg-dist - No such file or directory" and my phone goes in reboot loop. Now How to resolve it?

surprise, I dont have transitions.ini.dpkg-dist. I am pretty sure I installed new version, I even tried vertical scrolling and it run smoothly, but turned back to horizontal scrolling, thought it is easier.

    Whats next? Reinstall?

What is added/changed with new version btw, only blacklist and vertical scrolling feature? (Not underestimating, dont get me wrong, you guys doing great job. I didnt see a changelog so asking now.)

Did you reboot even if you got the error?
Actually I dont know if transitions.ini i vital for the phone to boot.
    Could be.
But to get the phone to boot regular again is beyond my knowloge, Im sorry for causing you trouble.
I do know that a reflash would get your phone up and running again, but that is quite drastic.
Maybe someone else know how to fix it?

When I installed the new HD i made the choice to leave the transistions.ini as is, so to get the new settings for blacklisting i copied the file transitions.ini.dpkg-dest wich I hade in that folder.
And I thought that the transitions.ini.dpkg-dest was a file that everyone have in that folder.

    Does
    Code:
    gconftool-2 --set /apps/osso/hildon-desktop/portrait_wallpaper -t bool true
enable the extra portrait background image? Or do we have to wait for new hildon-home?

If this enables portrait wallpapers, where do I put the images and how do I name them?

Any chance to get portrait keyboard? How about handwriting? Is it possible to make these features? And yes - will there be any CSSU updates?

there is an app called FastSMSevo, that works quite good.
But i agreen, a rewrite of built-in virtual keyboard would be nice.
