I think that is already possible with the current cssu camera-ui ; click on the gps icon and you can choose co-ords and / or place (tick boxes).
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Perfect!
I've only found the info on the camera-ui page and it says nothing about it (mentions something about cloudtag being closed source). Will check it out, thanks.
Hi in my personal opinion
# portrait lock so screen ui always stays in portrait only goes landscape once keyboard is opened
# better virtual keyboard which opens instantly and its much smoother and better to use for both orientation portrait and landscape maybe something similar to opera vkb with option to choose qwerty and t9 for user preferance
# 720p video record and playback
# enable video calls using obviously the front camera even if its just on wifi for now!
# make loudspeaker volume louder while in call as rite now it doesnt make much difference cant hear alot in noisy environment
# maybe make proximity sensor a bit less sensitive or solve it soo it doesnt keep blanking the screen when multitasking while being on call as i use other apps and be on call but screen keeps blanking stupid proximity sensor
# separate wallpaper for portrait and landscape for same screen
# android type similar screenlock would be nice
# implement swipeui in few areas of ui for instance instead of using top left menu button to minimize and swap between apps maybe we can swipe?!
I know im asking for too much some of it might not be possible to do and it will never happen and thats understandable but this is what i would love to see while the CSSU team is at it can you also put extra RAM and maybe a dual core processor in our beloved n900! d;-)
I have only one requirement to make my N900 the ultimate device (and to stop me having to carry both my N900 and a company iPhone).
Support provisioning in email.
Our organization allows the use of personal devices to access email/calendars etc via Lotus Traveler. Unfortinately, although this is really just an exchange protocol, it does not run on my N900 as the first thing that the server requests is that the phone supports provisioning (remote wipe etc) As the N900 doesn't support this, the connection is dropped and I am refused.
I know there were posts previously about this and one of the team that worked on the email mfe implementation stated it wouldn't appear, but can our genius members do anything?
AFAIK the MfE is not open-source, so any updates to it directly probably aren't going to happen.
That being said... if you can find where in the MfE binary the Q/A for "Here's the provisioning info" "Sorry, I can't do that" is, and change the response... maybe with hexeditor or some LD_PRELOAD trickery, depending how it was implemented.
Or maybe create a simple proxy that watches the EAS traffic and alters the response to that question. Might have to use stunnel or something if your company uses https instead of plaintext. EAS Provisioning protocol is described here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...CHG.80%29.aspx
i'v been wanting to control my music from the status area for a while now, i wish someone can make my wish come through if it's possible.
thanx in advance.
