    Thanks.
I tested IPs from your list here:
    http://www.dnsbl.info/dnsbl-database-check.php
e.g. 59.152.101.78 is listed, only 3 times but still,
    117.199.133.23 is listed several times.
Whereas my current dynamic IP is listed at b.barracudacentral.org
which may be a bit harsh.
    ;-)
You may take a look at DNSBL ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNSBL ).
I do not know how to automate this.
    ;-)

Ok, to give you guys an idea of what we are facing, here's one software (demo video) that shows how easy it is to spam forums:

    http://pandalabs.pandasecurity.com/b.../24/xrumer.swf

ETA: added this video to the main post as well.

Oh, sorry, I thought there was addon compatibility between 3.x versions. I should have checked beforehands.

Reggie; cant you find an add on that filters posts and titles of threads for certain ''spam words'' like live, stream, streaming, online? This will totally make spamming more difficult

I just tested by re registering.
You have Image Verification at the beginning and
    captcha at the end.

BUT: I was able to break through with the wrong image at the beginning with the image verification!
So maybe having a slow connection (that I have now) in connection with the back function of the browser and tipping on the same location of the picture every time may break your beginning verification.
Afair it said "Homer Simpson" I selected the wrong image, got the error message, took the back button (newest firefox) clicked on the same location (rose afair), the text still said "Homer Simpson" and suddenly I was at the registering page.

I'd check this if I were you.

The main problem is rather how the spam bot got into
    the registration at first!

Yes, with the new plugin I can, but Akismet has a broader list and the new plugin queries them already.

I'm looking at letting the forum use the real IP of the member and not the proxy. Thanks.
