It's still very buggy. Freezes easily, cant forward for backward without that shrill irritating sound.

Anyway, the tutorial is here :

It would be really nice if someone or a team of devs take up this project for completion, the reason being the weakness of the stock video player, which can hardly play any video without stuttering.. There is a real need for some alternative video player which can handle different formats & res video playback....
    Hoping for the best.

I think so, but we need a proper QML or MWidget GUI. (I would prefer MWidget for some reasons.)
And we need to test if bellagio (opensource omxil standard) runs fine on Harmattan.
    Vlc could use DSP then.

    So, this project is dead?
No one that can make a port of VLC on MeeGo/Harmattan?

I'm sorry but i'm a noob in this stuff; I'm just a nokia and linux fan.

No the project is not really dead. This is just some work.

Rzr like I could do it, but when working full-time, this is kinda slow.

Currently, I'm building the source, next MWidget UI.
And then bellagio so we could use the maximum out of the N9.

But for bellagio, I don't know yet how bleeding edge it is.

    cheers!

I can no longer install VLC since I upgraded to PR 1.3: Aegis error. I tried with ariadne and incept, but it doesn't work.
