Don't give up so fast on things... Maybe you could have tried reinstalling the settings with 005 instead of 001... At least in mine only 005 works dur to the mp-harmattan being 005...

Anyway you have done it already why not restore tweaked backup?

try full uninstallation then install again?

Also the PDF states try uninstallation of only Status Updater to fix it...
