Meego and N9 are fine. NITdroid was a great project for n900. Let n9 be n9...
What about the rest of the important apps & games? MeeGo cannot get them by magic, the point of NITDroid is to get Android apps working on the N9 as it is a very new ver. of the Android OS + We don't want Nokia N9 dead, we want to make it come alive not leave it just like that, then nobody would look forward to buying it again..

N9? Harmattan? Dead? It's not Windows Phone 7 we're talking about here.
Though probably everyone who wanted has already bought one.. but it can never hurt to run another OS - at least for show-off, I didn't like the fact that it nuked my battery more efficiently than the Tsar Bomba so I don't have it any more.

Intriguing thought/idea, I'd love to know if it's technically feasible...
Would be awesome to have Android chrooted, instead of having to boot separately into it!

It would be like having acl, just better cause it would be a community project and no company to pull the plug and easier to get updates.

Sounds really interesting and hopefully doable and then no messing around with voice call etc. just app compatibility.

I don't hang @NITdroid forums*, maybe someone else can ask e-yes about the feasibility of such an approach?
Coincidentally, we're in the middle of trying to secure a N950 for him:

*haven't tried NITroid yet, not in any rush, I will eventually.

I hang @Nitdroid forum and could start a thread there or just pm him here on tmo. I'll do one or the other.

Nitdroid is nice to have but tends to be a drag in long run booting back and forth when ever you need to make a call. Further more Android UI isn't half as nice as MeeGo nor as intuitive.

    Regards Dousan...

I started a thread on Nitdroid forum and we'll see how that goes.

If nothing comes of it I'll pm @e-yes about it

^Cheers mate, I'm not closely following this thread any more (nor the entire forum really).
But if something substantial comes of it I'm sure a dedicated thread will be setup, & the news will spread beyond TMO.
I hope we have more luck getting a working N950 to him, he may be more open to this idea with one of those puppy's in his hands
