After I run through the first initial charge on my new N9 (PR 1.1) I put on charger last night. However today morning the tiny white led still showed that it was charging even after 8 hours on the powerline. The white battery icon on the screen displayed a 50% filled battery symbol.

Is this kind of behaviour normal for a first-time charge on the N9? Anyone experienced the same issue and what did you do?

Acutally I removed the N9 from its charger as I had to go out to work, but will continue charging today evening and see what will happen... hope that this will be a one-time issue...

day to day mine takes about 2h45min off the mains (this would be twice as much off a USB port from a laptop/computer). Remember mine taking a while on the first charge but i was playing with it a lot!

Have a look in the settings to see how long the N9 suggests it's going to take to finish charging. 8 hours does sound like a long time though!

That's one downfall I have with this phone, 3 to 4hrs & sometime more to charge, that sucks! My N95-8GB could fully charge from Empty in less than an hour! Now that was a Classic Phone, still miss it, got stolen at work

I'm thinking of getting another one as my spare phone as they very cheap now!
