Yes, a VNC client was also my first idea while reading quim's post, good you have already mentioned it.

I read several weeks ago there are some progress at "Presence VNC" but the lack of virtual keyboard support for non qml applications seems to be currently a big problem for the developer. But I don't know the current status and I'm even not sure if it was Presence VNC where I read this...

there is also clearly a need for a communication software like whatsapp, I would suggest to developp a communication soft based on e-mailing that has about the same UI as Whatsapp.
