My Wazapp also faces some crash issues, mainly when I move to wlan to 3G. Sometimes it is closed and I just don' know.
Anyway, may real question here is that if you guys are also receiving a repeatedly message from 'server' saying there's a new version of WhatsApp (the official one) avaiable. Naturally, we can't download this. Any news if we will have an update as well?
I can't wait for the block function so I can just block server from annoying me with these messages.

But I also agree with SamGan that the step by step instruction for the repository shouldn't have been posted here.
This is a thread for the beta versions and it gets flooded with alpha stuff.
There should be an extra thread for dev versions.
I have finally perfected the instructions to installing and using my script to ensure that Wazapp doesn't crash on you and leave you without your messages
Hopefully the devs could include some kind of similar functionality in a future release, or fix the bugs that cause the crash

A loop script will consume a lot of battery for sure
Instead of this, we can start wazapp as a daemon
This way the system itself will restart wazapp if it crashes
We just need to add some arg to wazapp to prevent showing loading screen and keep the windows hidden when it's called

It doesn't check every 5 seconds, nor does it drain battery.. It simply waits for a crash code and then initiates!
