I'm trying your version. Was trying the dev version from tgalals branch, but I find yours way better.
Some tips.
1. Never liked the one notification alert for each contact ,sometimes we are doing other things and just ignore the single alert, then the messages can add up without being noted.. I admit sometimes gruop conversatiosn can get annoying, but when single contact, the app can be modyfied so we dont get more than 1 alert every 5 secs. Groups can left like it is now, 1 alert for each group thread, but 1 alert for every new message for single conversations...but muting it for 5 or 10 seconds after the last one.
2. Location sharing still buggy, but cant complain..its beta.
As for everyone else that is getting the FAIL-TOO-MANY error, just try marrat's solution in page 186, which basicly implies that you have to have another phone at hand and nitdroid installed on your N9, then register whatsapp on you other phone, then put your sim back in the N9, boot nitdroid, install whatsapp from play store, start registration and as soon as you get the confirmation SMS, just disconnet from the internet to prevent whatsapp from confirming the registration, write down the code, turn off nitdroid, boot MeeGo, run wazapp, when you get fail-too-many error again, press enter code manually, and use the confirmation code you got from the SMS on the nitdroid whatsapp app. It should work.
Personally, I just think, it's easier to register in any other phone's whatapp (a friends/family phone), and then when you get the SMS confirmation, just disconnect the internet connection before registration completes, write the code.down somewhere, and then use that confirmation code manually on wazapp rather than doing the whole other phone and nitdroid process, anyway, whatever works. Hope this helps.
oh, and please try to use the search feature before posting the same questions over and over again.
cheers!!
I had the same problem and the following worked for me:
1) Re-install Wazapp on the N9
2) Download WhatsApp on another device which is connected to wifi with the sim card removed
3) Start WhatsApp on that device and register with the number of the sim card in your N9
4) You should receive a text with the registration code on your N9
5) As soon as you see the text on your N9 turn off the first device (the one you resgistered on)
6) Start wazapp on your N9 and manually enter the 3 digit code you received in the text.
Can any1 guide me in installing cepi's updates on the basic 0.2.6 version i have on my device ryt after opening the git link !!!!! Any1 kind enuf and patient enuf to guide me in fact us !!!!!
Ok since many people here say that wazapp crashes - do you have the stock messenger connected to any service (facebook, skype... etc)? because mine runs fine until i connect to some messenging service, thats when it gets stuck and/or crashes...
Anyone else got this Issue? I think the internal messenger yould be related to this somehow.
