Posting this again as it has helped a few people who weren't able to get their 3 digit code
The following worked for me:
1) Install/re-instsall Wazapp on the N9
2) Download WhatsApp on another device which is connected to wifi with the sim card removed
3) Start WhatsApp on that device and register with the number of the sim card in your N9
4) You should receive a text with the registration code on your N9
5) As soon as you see the text on your N9 turn off the first device (the one you resgistered on)
6) Start wazapp on your N9 and manually enter the 3 digit code you received in the text.
no you cannot, since you already registered your sim im your galaxy note (i assume?), cause they wont send you that sms. you need to try it in another android/symbian/blackberry/winphone you didnt register whatsapp with yet. remember to have your sim in n9 while registering.
>>> I got my Wazapp working on my Nokia N9... Thanks a lot...
Whats Crazy here is that I have Galaxy Note, on which I already have Whatsapp.( remember its not Wazapp, its Android version Whatsapp ).
1. I removed the SIM from it. Then uninstalled the Whatsapp.
2. Reinstalled it on Galaxy and it asked me to register it.
3. I entered my own Nokia N9 phone no. while registering.
4. It tried to register my number but It failed and I didnt get the 3 digit code.
5. But I tried the option to get it by Voice or you can say Auto-call from Whatsapp to get the code and incidently I got it.. via Voice.
I got a call on my Nokia N9 and the it prompted me the code.
6. Then I switched the Galaxy phone OFF.
7. I then entered the same code in registration process on my N9.
and guess what, IT ACCEPTED IT.. Whats crazy here is the code I received through registering WHATSAPP which actually worked in my WAZAPP.. This are 2 seperate version but may be coming from common developer...
But I am happy that Wazapp is now ON in my phone...
Thanks again....

>>>>>>> Thanks a lot for this post, as I was facing the same issue of NOT getting the code. But this instructions saved my life...
Though I didnt get the code via SMS but I easily got it through Voice option or you can say Auto-call from Wazapp which prompted me the code via incoming call...
I would say this instructions came with a guarantee to work. Thanks again...
