Interesting read thanks, interesting that the original focus of that thread has been totally hijacked by users with similar -but totally different- issues.
But that's nothing new for technical forum threads, I guess....
Today is one of those monthly events whereby I charge the phone the whole day and it still remains under 5%, been charging since 7am, till now it's 17:55 it's still on charger, when trying to open any App it switches off "Battery Low", I switched off Wazapp, 3G & Wifi, got pissed off and went for a beer, when I came back it was still charging standing below 5%
Can't use Wazapp, Calls, or anything at moment, I'll leave it charging over night. Not sure if this has to do with Phone USB pin being loose, the thing is when it's charging it shows the charge sign, so I'd now if it's the pin, which I still need to fix too.... Damn

look at settings / device / battery, it shows how long the charging takes.. Should be around 160 minutes when the battery is empty..
try to take out the charger/connect it again, and look at the messages, in case it shows that the power is to low for charging, it can be a bad usb connector (that is the case with my n9 at the moment) playing a bit with the usb cable can help in that case... (or send the phone out for repair)

Plug out your USB charger from the port and plug it in again...simples...
There are times it won't charge due to the pin now being connected properly i.e. loose on the inside...So a simple plug out and plug in solves it...

Thanx for the response, it says 210 minute estimate
It seems charging it while it's completely off does the trick though, monitoring it. I really need to take it in for repairs before it dies completely....

Did you pay your electricity bill??? Maybe they shut it off or let you use only 1% of its capacity hence the slow charging
